Several C40 cities have successfully accessed new sources of finance, including from the private sector, through establishing city climate funds.
The new website includes detailed pages on the CFF's current projects (Bogotá and Mexico City), a multimedia knowledge library, recent coverage of (inter)national media & a City Application Portal.
Support from USAID will allow the CFF to unlock financing for climate change adaptation and mitigation projects in developing and emerging economies in the global South.
The CFF is looking to unlock $1 billion in funding to provide technical assistance to support C40 cities prepare sustainable infrastructure projects due to a $5.7 million grant from BMZ & IADB.
